What I was doing with that wee self portrait!
My first time using resin! I got my brother, my sister and myself to each do a little self portrait and then placed them in empty bevels, which I then covered in resin. For our Mom on Mother’s Day of course. :)
Crafty things can frustrate the hell out of me, but I like how this turned out. <3

Contact Information & Jibber Jabber

I heard it through the grape vine that a potential illustration client tried to get a hold of me through my regular day job… on my day off. :(

During the day at work, I’m retail-selling-art-supplies-Alise, I shouldn’t be taking personal calls. So the best way to get a hold of me isn’t through there.

Sending me an email at silverwolf137@hotmail.com or leaving a voice mail at 647-933-6413 with your contact information is the best way to get a hold of me directly about illustration gigs. All of this and more exciting information can be found on my portfolio website; www.a-aglover.com

So this isn’t a text only post, here’s a semi-relevant picture of me wearing a giant bag from my day job as a rain poncho.

,

I promise art in the next update! <3

The last one in this series of studies can be found here.

Where my people at? It’s…UPDATE TIMEZZZZ!

Hey there Dudes and Lady Dudes!

It’s that time of year again! Portfolio update times.

About every 6 months I update my portfolio site! Add things, remove some things, editing spelling mistakes I totally missed 6 month ago… D:

Anyway! If you’re a regular follower here at my sketch tumblr, none of the art is new, but I did also update my links page to include more of the sweet sweet artists I’ve come to know over the past 6 months so check those people out.

And if you’re nice you’ll tell me about those spelling mistakes and coding errors. :D

I’ve got some super exciting stuff in the works for over the summer, so keep a lookout here and on my Facebook Page for those updates as well!

Bright coloured pony!
This photo doesn’t do justice to the sheer day-glow-ness of the orange of the background, or the sparkles on the horn and afro mane. This little dude is on 3” X 4” panel.

I uploaded this to the wrong tumblr. Blah.
In other news, I think I might do more art with unicorns like this and make buttons. Yes.

Sparkle-glow-in-the-dark-and-black-lights Rainbow Dash!
Oh gawd my scanner killed this, so then I had to take a photo and that killed it too. Moral of this story, this looks a lot better in person. There’s glitter paint, glow-in-the-dark paint, fluorescent painy and a shiny top coat.
More sparkle ponies and things to come in the future!

I’m Famous in Japan…

Not really, but if you check out the Turner Acryl Gouache Gallery I’m in there after submitting something. Cool!

It’s the portrait of my Grandmother’s deceased dog in case you’re wondering;

Turner Acryl Gouache is the paint I’ve been using for all of my pet portraits and acrylic based works as of late. It’s a really nice matte acrylic and has a huuuuuge colour range. Love them. If you look at the other stuff in the Turner Acryl Gouache Gallery, this stuff can be used for a whole slew of different styles and techniques.

This started out as a “Hey Look Where My Art Is Now!” and turned in to a product review.

But seriously, I love this paint.

There was a Weekly Art Fart challenge a while back to depict your art working space and… I didn’t do it. But! I decided to give it a go now, while I’m trying to get my art juices flowing again.
So here’s a wee pencil and watercolour sketch of my work computer setup in my room.
